15 Nights / 16 Days Tour Highlights
The tour commences in Cairo where you will be visiting the Sphinx and Sakkara as well as medieval Cairo with its warren of streets and bazaars. While we are in Cairo, will be staying 3 nights at the 5 star Le Merdien Pyramids Hotel, Cairo with a specular view of the Pyramids.
We then will journey by overnight sleeper train down to Aswan. This beautiful city is situated on the Nile and is known as the gateway to Africa, Aswan is highly regarded by many for its natural beauty. Here we embark on our 5 star cruise on the M/S RA II. Over the next 7 days we travel down the Nile stopping off to visit temples from Kom Ombo right down to the Temple of Hathor in Denderah before finally returning to Aswan, where we will then fly to Abu Simbel.
Often Abu Simbel is not included on many tours or it is an optional extra. We have decided that Abu Simbel is well worth the visit and we will be staying overnight. This allows us time to really appreciate the area, and a chance to see the spectacular Sound and Light show.
The next day we fly back to Aswan where we will check in to the Pyramisa Isis Island Hotel on the Isis island in the middle of Nile. The hotel is situated in 28 acres of landscaped gardens with magnificent views of the Nile for 2 nights.
We will be visiting the Temple Isis both in the evening to enjoy the Sound and Light show and for our early morning private visit.. After the visit you have the rest of the day to relax . The hotel offers you an opportunity, to treat yourself to a massage or the unique grey and sand baths so that your body is relaxed and well rested.
Finally, the next day, we fly from Aswan to Cairo. Our journey is now nearing its end, and the last two nights we will be staying once again in the Le Merdien Pyramids and in the morning we will experience our special private visit to the Kings Chamber in the Great Pyramid. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy.
As with all my tours, we have allowed free time for you during the day at some of the locations we visit. You can decide to do sight-seeing, shopping or just sitting next the pool. The choice is yours.
